Terms
Terms of service
Last updated October 9, 2026.
These terms are the agreement between you and Admonis LLC, which operates Orbit. By creating an account or using Orbit, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how long we keep it, and is part of this agreement.
Orbit is not an emergency service
In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. Orbit's SOS, locations and notifications depend on phones, networks and operating systems we do not control, and can be late, wrong or not arrive at all: when a phone is off, out of signal, out of battery, in airplane mode, or has had Orbit closed or restricted. Do not rely on Orbit as the only way to keep someone safe.
Locations and drives are estimates
Positions come from each phone and can be off by tens or hundreds of metres. Drive distances, durations and speeds are worked out from those positions and from the phone's own readings, and are approximate. They are not evidence of where someone was or how fast they drove, and are not intended for legal, insurance or employment decisions.
Who can use Orbit
You must be 18 or older to create an account.
A child uses Orbit only through a managed account that a parent or legal guardian creates. By creating one, you confirm that you are that child's parent or guardian, that you consent to Orbit processing the child's information as our privacy policy describes, and that you are responsible for the child's use of Orbit.
Sharing only with consent
Orbit is for people who have agreed to share their location with each other. Only invite or supervise people who know they are sharing, and who have agreed to it or, for a child, whose parent or guardian you are. Do not use Orbit to track anyone secretly or without their permission. Supervision is always shown to the person supervised. We will close accounts used to stalk, harass or monitor anyone without their consent.
Trial and subscription
Your first loop includes a free 30-day trial, with no card needed.
After the trial, Orbit needs a subscription, billed monthly or yearly in advance through the App Store or Google Play, whichever you subscribe in. One subscription covers every loop you own. It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time in the App Store or Google Play, where you subscribed. Your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for, and is not renewed after it. Deleting your Orbit account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in the store as well.
Payments are taken by Apple or Google, and refunds are theirs to give under their own policies. We do not refund the unused part of a period ourselves, except where the law requires us to.
If we change a price, you will be told before it applies, as the App Store and Google Play require, and it takes effect from your next renewal.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what is done with it. You can delete your account at any time in the app; our privacy policy says what deletion removes.
Your information
What you put into Orbit stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and share it with the members of your loops only as needed to run Orbit, as our privacy policy describes.
Using Orbit properly
You agree not to:
- use Orbit for anything unlawful, or to harm, harass or intimidate anyone;
- track or supervise anyone without their consent, or a child who is not in your care;
- interfere with Orbit, its servers or other people's use of it, or try to get around its limits or security;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer Orbit, except as the law allows.
Ending this agreement
You can stop using Orbit and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that we need to close to protect someone, and will tell you why unless the law or someone's safety prevents it. We may also stop offering Orbit; if we do, we will give you notice and refund any period paid for and not provided.
Changes to Orbit and to these terms
Orbit will change over time. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before the change applies. If you keep using Orbit after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account.
Warranties and liability
Orbit is provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms, including that Orbit will always be available, accurate or free of errors.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from Orbit being late, wrong or unavailable, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, and any dispute will be decided by the state or federal courts located in Georgia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it there.
